We left Kansas City MO on Saturday morning for a two-day trip to eastern Arizona to visit my cousin. I always enjoy seeing where the Kaw River flows into the Missouri River (on the north side of downtown Kansas City MO) where Lewis & Clark paddled over two centuries ago.
The sky was threatening and we knew a summer storm was on the way.
We traveled west though hours of blowing, going rain.
We headed west on Highway 54 from Wichita KS, and saw this mural on the wall of a building in Meade KS.
After a long 10-hour drive, we finally arrived at Southwind RV Park south of Guymon OK. At least we had electricity for the A/C. The storms took a break just long enough to see a fabulous sunset.
