We’ve been having a very slow, lazy, quiet visit with Jeff’s parents in VA. The weather started heating up yesterday afternoon, & today has finally become an A/C day.
We spent Saturday doing laundry & a good ‘house’ cleaning. Then Sunday required a trip to Lowe’s to get a water cut-off valve for the outside shower. Seems that whenever the water pump was turned on, water gushed out of the shower because the hot water faucet kept popping off. Guess it’s time to get new ‘guts’ for the outside shower since it’s been leaking between the faucets anyway.
Unfortunately, installing the shut-off valve had Jeff in an awkward position on the floor so his back is spasming again today. It’s taken me until this afternoon to get caught up on all the blogs I follow since hitting the road Friday. Weekends must be the most popular times for submitting blogs.
Since I haven’t gone anywhere since arriving Friday, I finally got out with my camera this morning to photograph some flowers. I didn’t used to notice flowers much. . .until I got a new camera & needed something to shoot. Now I love zooming in on flower photos to see all the delicate details that I miss otherwise. I guess flowers are really boring to some folks – but that’s part of our mission now. . .to take the time to smell the roses & whatever else needs close attention!
