Atchison Co State Fishing Lake 2009

 DSC07122

We decided to return to this fishing/camping lake where we enjoyed camping before, but the spot where we camped previously was already taken.  So, we ended up on a hill overlooking the lake to the east, north, & west.  It was quite a walk down to the water to throw in the fishing lines, but Friday evening’s sunset was gorgeous.

A few of the wild flowers in the area.

The lone tree at the bottom of the hill made a decent base for fishing.

A sliver of moon Saturday night.

We awoke to a foggy morning — at least over the lake.  I could barely see “the tree”.

And finally the fog over the lake was burning off as we headed home fairly early that Sunday morning.
