Saturday morning actually broke out in blue sky and sunshine. Here’s the view my recliner out the passenger side window toward the lake.
The wind was still very strong, so Jeff couldn’t build a fire or do any fishing (bummer). We had oatmeal for breakfast and talked for awhile and finally play one of the “manual” games we had with us. We decided on dominoes, especially since I’d never played it before.
Our new “living room” worked out well, with room for Jeff, Kira, and me to all be comfortable and still have room for our dominos game.
We stopped a few times to eat brats for supper and to take Kira for a couple of walks. We ended up winning about equal numbers of games, but since we weren’t really keeping score, it wasn’t terribly competitive. We played it for nearly 7 hours on and off. How unusual for us, but we had a surprisingly fun time.
We have tried to get this camping spot for years, but it’s very popular since it’s relatively flat, large enough for multiple campers (especially for several Casitas), has 2 picnic tables, and is near a fish feeding station. I’m not sure I’d want here though during warmer weather since there’s little shade during evenings. We’re still searching for our absolute most fantastic perfect camp spot.
